Dreadlock Detox

$18.00

Our Dreadlock Detox is perfect to refresh your scalp and dreadlocks. This product can also be used on natural , loose hair. anyone can benefit from doing a hair detox!

I suggest using our Healthy Scalp Oil the night before you detox to really moisturize the scalp. and using our Healthy Hair Spritzer in between washes to keep your locks moisturized and your scalp and hair healthy and growing strong.

Use-

(for full instructions and tutorial- view our “5 Step Dreadlock Detox Tutorial” on our social media & YouTube Channel) In a hairwashing basin, bowl or bucket - Simply combine around 2 gallons of warm water with 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, then drop in the entire contents of our Dreadlock Detox and dunk your hair/dreads into the mixture. Squeeze your locks and massage your scalp. Work the mixture into your hair and all over your scalp. Soak like this for 20-30 minutes.

When you are done soaking, squeeze your locks one more time and then lift your hair out of the mixture and squeeze out your hair until it mostly stops dripping. Move to the shower for a double shampoo and rinse. Lather the shampoo, squeeze the lather into your dreadbodies, and rinse. Repeat.

When you are done with your shower, rinse thoroughly one final time. Then dry with a microfiber towel. Squeeze your dreadlocks with the microfiber towel, and then either air dry in the sunshine or blowdry if necessary. You should not let your dreadlocks be damp for more than a couple hours. If the core of your locks still feel damp- BLOW DRY. We want fully dry locks, NEVER go to bed with wet or damp hair. If you find your dreadlocks have a mildew or musty smell, you are doing something wrong and its time for a detox to start fresh again. dreadlocks should smell like nothing.

DO NOT detox more often than 3 months apart, the ingredients can be drying. I suggest a minimum of 1-2 times per year for a detox.
